Privacy Policy

What happens to your information when you use The Domain Age.

Domain lookups

When you submit a domain, our server receives the input, normalizes it, and sends the registered domain name to its public RDAP registry. The registry sees our server’s request, rather than a direct request from your browser. Its own privacy practices apply. Do not enter credentials or confidential information in the search field.

Temporary operational data

Registration results are cached in server memory for up to 15 minutes. Lookup inputs and results are not stored in an application database. To enforce request limits, the server temporarily processes your network address in memory. Hosting infrastructure may also record request URLs, IP addresses, and access or error logs under its own retention settings.

Browser storage and cookies

The application saves only your light or dark theme preference in local storage. You can clear it through your browser’s site-data settings. This implementation does not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or saved lookup history. Results remain in the current page until you reload or leave it.

Copy, export, and share

Copying writes the selected result to your clipboard with your browser’s permission. CSV exports are generated in your browser. A shared lookup link includes the domain in its URL, so anyone receiving that link can see it. It does not include a private report or a saved snapshot.

Other websites

Registry records and Internet Archive links lead to services with their own policies. Following those links shares your request with the destination service.
